This policy is compliant with federal (OSHA, CDC, CMS, DOL, etc.) regulations. Our policy requires annual training on fire precautions and discusses the response in the event of a fire. Employees are also required to be cognizant of the facility's Fire Procedure and Evacuation Plan. This inservice is part of our Emergency Preparedness Plan. Our policy is to ensure employees are educated on the Hazard Communication Program, including the Globally Harmonized System, along with Safety Data Sheets (SDS), when and how to use SDS and their location(s) within the facility.   Description: This course provides essential training on OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) and the Global Harmonized System (GHS) for effectively managing hazardous chemicals used in the facilities we service. This video inservice and consent/declination form are given to all existing and newly hired employees. The inservice walks the employees through what the Hepatitis B Vaccine process is and makes them aware that they will be offered the opportunity to receive the vaccine on an annual basis if previously refused. The Hep B Vaccine process is also outlined in our Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan found within our OSHA Program Materials. Read more
